Purpose
This site exists to explain how structured products work. It is for information and education only. Nothing on it is an offer, a solicitation, a recommendation or investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing on it takes your personal circumstances into account.
Risk
Structured products are complex financial instruments. You can lose some or all of the money you invest. Capital protection, where a product has it, applies only at maturity and only if the issuer is able to pay; before maturity the price can be below the protection level.
Charts and examples
Every chart, parameter, worked example and calculator result on this site is illustrative. Parameters are chosen to show the mechanics, not to describe any product on the market. Path-dependent payoffs are shown for a selected scenario at maturity. Constant leverage certificates are shown as an approximation.
Binding documents
For any actual product, only the term sheet, the key information document and the issuer’s conditions are binding. Where this site and those documents differ, the documents prevail.
Independence
This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Swiss Structured Products Association (SSPA), SIX, any exchange, any issuer or any distributor. Product category codes follow the SSPA Swiss Derivative Map so that readers can cross-reference the official classification; the names and codes are used as references only.
Sources and accuracy
The content was researched with care and the payoff formulas are tested; see the sources page. Errors are nevertheless possible, and the content may be out of date. No liability is accepted for decisions taken on the basis of this site.
Privacy
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and sends no data to third parties. Calculator inputs stay in your browser.
